Ecosystem Landscape
Building knowledge quickly across technologies, industries, and markets
An ecosystem landscape is a 5-week, fixed term project designed to build client knowledge of a new or rapidly changing industry. By evaluating existing technology solutions, business models, and identifying key decision makers, we help clients identify new opportunities and craft relevant value propositions for new markets.
Kickoff meeting. The project officially begins with a kickoff download meeting where the client team is asked to provide context, background, and direction for the project. The goal of this meeting is to gain initial alignment on work scope and to avoid duplicating work already in progress.
Interim meeting. For the first two weeks, the LMM IG team will gather background, develop an ecosystem/taxonomy framework, and validate client-provided assumptions. After these immersive two weeks, at this interim point, we ask to meet with the client team again to share initial findings and re-affirm the project direction.
Final report discussion. The last three weeks is where most of the learning takes place. During this time, we dig deeper into the technologies, IP, and market leaders and segments to develop recommendations for next steps. The results of the work will be compiled into a final report, sent in advance of the final meeting to allow for directed questions and discussion instead of a presentation.
Final edits to the final report and any other deliverables will be edited to reflect questions and comments from the final report discussion, and additional follow-on questions will be addressed where reasonable.
